DRESS CODE STANDARDS
Objective To promote appropriate respectable dress in keeping with our mission statement endorsing high standards as a premier country club in the Northwest.
Blue jeans are not permitted at the club at any time.
· Acceptable Conventional golf attire shall be worn at all times on all parts of the golf course. Golf raingear, mock turtlenecks and regular turtlenecks are suitable year round. Willamette Valley Country Club is a soft spike facility. All informal attire suitable for and consistent with golf course attire can be worn throughout the clubhouse. Members are responsible for their guests complying with this policy.
· Gentlemen: Shoes, shirts with collars, sweaters, vests, slacks and shorts no shorter than mid-thigh (but in no case less than 7" inseam). All caps and visors must be worn with the bill facing forward. No caps or hats to be worn on the upper level of the club house.
· Ladies: Shoes, shirts (can be collar-less but no t-shirts), sweaters, vests, slacks and shorts no shorter than mid-thigh (but in no case less than 7" inseam), skirts and dresses of suitable length (denim skirts and dresses are allowed).
Hats worn properly are permitted for all members and guests with exception of the upper level during the dinner hours (after 5:00pm).
Fitness attire is permitted on the lower level only and confined to the lockers and work out room.
· Children 7yrs & younger: The same golf course attire applies to all golfers. Casual dress is permitted in other areas of the clubhouse. Shoes, socks, shirts (can be collar-less but no t-shirts), pants, shorts or colored overalls, skirts and dresses of respectable length are acceptable. Members are responsible for monitoring the suitability of their own child's clothing.
· Not Acceptable: Denim (pants or shorts), tank tops, halter tops, cutoffs, t-shirts, football jerseys, sweat pants, leggings, exercise wear or spandex, etc. No ripped, torn, excessively soiled clothing or bare midriffs will be allowed.
The dress code may be revised at the discretion of the board for certain social functions.
“The Board of Directors has instructed all Staff personnel to refuse golfing and/or dining privileges to any member or guest whose attire does not conform to this code or to the intent of this code. REMEMBER, it is the member’s responsibility to inform their guests of our code before they show up. It is extremely embarrassing for everyone when a guest shows up and is not allowed to play because of dress code requirements. They will be asked to change or purchase clothing that conforms to the code.”
